M ARCH 2009 CATEGO RIES
do w n -to -earth classics
What traditional recipe have you made your
own? Maybe it's your version of baked spaghetti or chicken and dumplings.
W hat do you put into your pot roast, pot pie, or casserole that makes it new
while keeping it classic? Perhaps you have a meatloaf recipe that’s family
pleasing and has stood the test of time. Salads, vegetable side dishes, and
even desserts also can be included in this category.
smart cookies
W e’re looking for those sweet treats that are tasty as well
as healthy. Do you make a reduced-fat cookie dough with whole wheat
flour, or reduce the sugar to make your cookie recipe healthier? How about
fruit and/or cereal bars or drop cookies loaded with whole grains? Mini
cookies and those starring egg whites are additional suggestions. Send us
your most creative, healthy cookie recipe.
